The undergraduate degree in Visual Effects/Animation is a comprehensive program designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic field of digital animation and visual effects. The course is structured to enhance students' understanding of industry-standard software, including Adobe Creative Suite and 3D software such as Cinema 4D, among others.

 

The program places a strong emphasis on the art of motion graphics and teaches students how to plan and develop frames and visual videos. Through hands-on projects and practical assignments, students gain proficiency in creating stunning visual effects, realistic animations, and captivating storytelling.

Key elements of the degree program

Technical Skills

Students are introduced to a range of industry-standard software tools used in visual effects and animation. They learn how to navigate Adobe software like After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop, as well as 3D software such as Cinema 4D or Maya. These tools enable students to create and manipulate visual elements, composite scenes, and add special effects to their animations.

 Motion Graphics

Students learn the principles of motion graphics and how to create engaging animations for various purposes, such as advertisements, title sequences, and explainer videos. They explore concepts like timing, pacing, typography, color theory, and composition to develop visually appealing and effective motion graphics.

Frame Planning and Development

he program focuses on teaching students how to plan and develop frames and visual sequences. Students learn the art of storyboarding and previsualization, where they sketch out and organize key frames to guide the animation process. They also gain an understanding of narrative structure, character development, and cinematography to enhance the visual storytelling aspect of their work.

3D Animation

Students are introduced to the fundamentals of 3D animation, including modeling, texturing, rigging, and character animation. They learn to bring 3D objects and characters to life by applying principles of movement, weight, and emotion. Through practical projects, they explore techniques for creating realistic simulations, dynamic visual effects, and seamless integration of 3D elements into live-action footage.
